Green shoots in the Yarra

Leanne De Bortoli sends the following report from the heart of post-bushfires Yarra Valley.

We have been and are still a little vulnerable from what has occurred with the fires. It was only a couple of days later when I visited Steels Creek (over the hill from us) that I saw the extent of the damage through there. More than half the homes have been destroyed, lives were lost and the beautiful bush completely ravaged. A real shock to the system.
